Hello there friends!
As you may have noticed, I’ve been hard at work building a fresh new website. Yes, I’m more than just a pretty face – I’m a web developer too! Take a look around, I think the new site is just purrrfect – I hope you do too.
Influencer achievement unlocked
In other news, my celebrity status keeps growing by the day! I now have more than 10,000 Instagram followers, cementing my place as a bona fide influencer. Don’t worry, I’m not going to start posting photos of me posing in infinity pools around the world anytime soon! But seriously, every new follower is like cat nip to me, so if you’re not already following me, find me @bettyboo_thesaloncat
Did you know that we’re a sustainable, vegan salon?
Yep, it’s been a few years now but we’re still kicking goals when it comes to protecting the planet. Through the Sustainable Salons program, we recycle up to 95% of our waste. From piles of foil to old hairdryers and the very hair we sweep up after your cut, we work really hard to ensure that our salon waste doesn’t end up in landfill.
But wait, there’s more! Babar Hair is also a vegan-friendly hair salon. Apart from stocking soy milk to put in your coffee (a bare minimum offering by Melbourne standards), we also use premium, cruelty-free product ranges such as Evo, Olaplex and Lakme. This means that we can create awesome hair without using products that are tested on animals or contain animal by-products. As an animal myself, I feel particularly warm and fuzzy living in a salon that doesn’t hurt my kind.
Goodbye Fotini. Welcome Bri! 
Proving that all good things must come to an end, we recently farewelled Fotini after 5 and a half years. While we all miss her, we know she’ll nail her new role as an occupational therapist.
I’m always sad when someone leaves (because that means there’s one less person around to pat me). Thankfully, the good news is that we recently welcomed someone new to the salon. When not giving me attention, Bri works for herself from the Babar Hair space. Please contact Bri directly on 0422 200 941 if you’d like to make a booking with her.
To celebrate surviving another brutal Melbourne winter, Chris will be taking holidays in August and David in September. If you want an appointment with them before they take off and leave me to run the salon, then get in quick! Call us on 9078 1373 to book in.
